The all-new Vitus Escarpe platform represents a new breed of bike for a new breed of rider – long-travel muscle for when the dial turns to Gnarl, in a lightweight, pedal-friendly package that just aches to slay singletrack and crest that next rise.

At the heart of the Escarpe – that’s French for ‘steep’, offering a solid clue as to our inspirations and intentions – is a hydroformed alloy frame with tapered head tube for a real-world riding blend of light weight, strength and stiffness.

Some call it ‘All Mountain’ but we just know hard riding - blasting the local woodland loop, mixing it up in the hills, lining up for an enduro or playing join-the-berms in some sun-dappled Alpine resort; the Vitus Escarpe 2 can handle it all, could this be your one bike for all trail situations?

Hydroformed Multi-Butted 6061 Aluminium Frame & RockShox Sektor R Forks
Our lightweight hydroformed multi-butted, heat treated 6061 aluminium frame features 140mm of rear wheel travel via a Four-Bar V-Link activated suspension platform which eliminates pedal-bob yet remains fully active at all times. Suspension travel is controlled by a RockShox RT air shock which offers infinite adjustability and silky smooth performance. All pivots run on sealed cartridge bearings providing supple performance with low maintenance. A replaceable derailleur hanger comes as standard.

A RockShox Sektor R fork offers 140mm of buttery smooth, infinitely adjustable travel. A tapered steerer and 15mm Maxle Lite thru-axle means precise, positive tracking through corners and rock gardens or any other obstacle the trail throws at you!

SRAM Groupset
The SRAM groupset combines X7 shifters and X5 rear/SLX front derailleurs with a Truvativ Firex chainset which combines lightweight with a full complement of gears to get you over the steepest of climbs with ease.

Stopping power is provided by Avid Elixir 3 hydraulic disc brakes with a 180mm rotor up front and a 160mm rotor at the rear to ensure positive, controllable braking.
A lightweight Fulcrum Red Power wheelset presents XC performance with All-Mountain capabilities offering fast acceleration and durability in a race ready wheelset.

Schwalbe Nobby Nic tyres combine predictable handling with low rolling resistance for complete confidence in all conditions.

To complete the package we’ve added Truvativ Stylo finishing kit, lock-on grips and a lightweight but comfortable X-Lite saddle. .
